Last night saw the launch of "Great Christian Jurists in English Law", the first in a series of international biographical studies of leading judges and practitioners and the influence of their Christian faith. Jointly edited with Professor Dick Helmholz of the Chicago University, and with a Foreword by Lord Mackay of Clashfern, this volume includes chapters on Bracton, Coke, Mansfield, Denning and many others, authored by distinguished legal historians. The launch took place in the garden of the Master of the Temple, Robin Griffith-Jones, whose illustrious predecessor, Richard Hooker, is amongst the featured Jurists. The book is published by Cambridge University Press.
