Planning permission has been granted for the demolition of an existing building, currently a Majestic Wine, and the construction of a Big Yellow self-storage facility (Use Class B8) and flexible office space (Use Class E(g)(i)), together with vehicle parking and landscaping in Epsom town centre.

Planning permission has been granted for the demolition of an existing building, currently a Majestic Wine, and the construction of a Big Yellow self-storage facility (Use Class B8) and flexible office space (Use Class E(g)(i)), together with vehicle parking and landscaping in Epsom town centre.
 

The Inspector accepted Big Yellow’s case that there was no harm to the character or appearance of the area and indeed an improvement of the street scene, no harm to protected trees and no adverse impact on the Council’s aspirations for comprehensive redevelopment of the area around the site.
