We are pleased to announce that entries are now open for the 2022-2023 Kingsland Cup and Prize Moot.

We are pleased to announce that entries are now open for the 2022-2023 Kingsland Cup and Prize Moot, Francis Taylor Building’s own mooting competition focussing on our distinctive areas of practice, including public, planning, environmental and European law topics. Entries are invited from teams of two members, both of whom must be in higher education (whether academic or vocational).

The competition takes place over three rounds: the first round sees entrants judged on the quality of their skeleton arguments; the semi-finals are oral moots held before distinguished High Court and Court of Appeal judges; and the final of the competition is frequently heard before a current or retired Supreme Court judge, and/or a panel of senior barristers, judges, and legal academics.

Find out more about the competition and read the moot problem at our dedicated Kingsland Cup page. Those interested in entering the competition are asked to note that the deadline for entries is 30 January 2023.

All queries about the moot should be directed to Brendan Brett and Michael Feeney, Moot Coordinators, at kingslandcup@ftbchambers.co.uk.
