At a hearing on 21 and 22 February 2024, Manchester’s Licensing Sub-Committee considered a contested application for a premises licence for the new £365m 23,500 capacity Co-op Live Arena located in the Etihad Campus.

At a hearing on 21 and 22 February 2024, Manchester’s Licensing Sub-Committee considered a contested application for a premises licence for the new £365m 23,500 capacity Co-op Live Arena located in the Etihad Campus.

A decision will follow in the coming days.

Three members of chambers are instructed in the case and appeared at the hearings.

Jeremy Phillips KC acted for the applicant, Co-op Live, instructed by Blandy & Blandy.

Gary Grant acted for an objector, ASM Global who operate Manchester’s existing AO Arena, instructed by Thomas & Thomas.

Leo Charalambides acted as Legal Adviser to the Licensing Sub-Committee.
