Kingsland Cup and Prize Moot Grand Final

The final of Francis Taylor Building’s annual mooting competition, the Kingsland Cup and Prize Moot, was held yesterday evening at the Royal Courts of Justice. We are grateful to Sir Keith Lindblom, Senior President of Tribunals, and Professor Alison Young, Sir David Williams Professor of Public Law at Cambridge, for judging the moot.

The winners, who acted for the respondent in a moot which applied rapidly-evolving protest case law to a scenario involving town and village greens, were Joshua Neaman and Bethany Hermanszewska of City Law School (pictured below), whom we congratulate. Beth and Josh will be joining chambers for mini-pupillages later this year.

John Choi and Daniel Leyva deserve honorable mention as very persuasive runners-up.

More information about the competition can be found here. The details of the 2022-2023  competition will be announced in September.
