Kingsland Cup and Prize Moot 2021-22 Goes Live

15 November, 2021

We are delighted to announce that the annual FTB Kingsland Cup and Prize Moot competition 2021-22 is now open to teams of undergraduate, GDL and Bar students.

This prestigious annual mooting competition covers public, environmental and European law topics, drawn from FTB’s distinctive practice, and is named in honour of Christopher Lord Kingsland QC.  Read more about Lord Kingsland and the history of the moot here.

The competition takes place over three rounds: the first round sees entrants judged on the quality of their skeleton arguments; the semi-finals are oral moots held before distinguished puisne and Court of Appeal judges; and the final of the competition is frequently heard before a current or retired Supreme Court judge, and/or a panel of senior barristers, judges, and legal academics.

Prizes will be awarded to both the runners up and overall winners.

Full details, including the First Round problem can be found here.

The closing date for first round entries is 4pm on Wednesday 22 December 2021.
