Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan Adopted

16 September, 2021

Last night, 15 September 2021, at a Full Council meeting, Buckinghamshire Council adopted the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan.

The Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan, also known as “the VALP”,  was submitted for examination in February 2018.  Paul Clark MA(Oxon) MA(TRP) MRTPI MCMI  was appointed as the independent Local Plan Inspector. Hearings were held over a number of weeks in July 2018 and April 2021.

The Inspector’s Report concluded that the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan provided an appropriate basis for the planning of the Aylesbury Vale area, subject to a number of ‘Main Modifications’. The conclusions of the inspector's report meant that the council could proceed to adoption of the Local Plan which took place last night.

Suzanne Ornsby Q.C. of Francis Taylor Building, acted for Buckinghamshire Council in the promotion of the plan.
