Craig is a CEDR Accredited Mediator and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is also an appointed member of the RICS President’s Panel of Mediators for Compulsory Purchase Disputes. He contributed to the Compulsory Purchase Association’s Land Compensation Claims Protocol. He was appointed to serve on the first DCLG's Planning Mediation Services Panel. He has also written a number of articles on the subject of ADR in compensation and planning law.
He acted as Mediator in the following planning, compensation or land use related cases, relating to:
- a High Court claim alleging professional negligence relating to written legal advice in the context of the planning status of land
- the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Improvement Order 2016;
- contractual issues arising at a landfill site (methane gas to electricity generation);
- a section 106 TCPA 1990 dispute relating to infrastructure obligations;
- a claim concerning a blight notice served in relation to rights to be acquired as part of an energy related DCO project in the South West of England;
- a claim following a CPO relating to the regeneration and redevelopment of a new Arsenal Football Club;
- a claim following the compulsory purchase under s226 of the TCPA 1990 of property owned by a Housing Association;
- a claim concerning land/rights acquired and compensation as part of the Olympics 2012 development project;
- a claim under S237 of the TCPA 1990 following a town centre redevelopment scheme;
He has also acted as Mediator, Co-Mediator or Assistant Mediator in other cases involving a variety of issues eg landlord and tenant/rent arrears/licence/negligence/nuisance issues/employment/contract/ debts/loans and professional negligence.
