FTB is pleased to announce that Sir Keith Lindblom has today rejoined Chambers as an Associate Member.

Prior to joining the bench 15 years ago, Sir Keith was a member of Chambers for 30 years, 15 years as Queen’s Counsel.  During practice, Sir Keith specialised mainly in planning and infrastructure cases.

As a CEDR trained and accredited mediator, he is available to undertake mediations and has a particular interest in cases relating to major infrastructure projects and other multi-stakeholder schemes of development. His experience as a leading advocate and senior judge specialising in this field of work equips him to help parties find solutions through mediation.

Over his 15-year full-time judicial career, from his appointment to the High Court (Queen’s Bench Division) (2010) to his retirement from the Court of Appeal (2025), he was appointed President of the Lands Chamber of the Upper Tribunal (2013), lead judge of the Planning Court (2014), Lord Justice of Appeal with particular responsibility for planning and environmental law (2015), President of the Administrative Appeals Chamber of the Upper Tribunal (2018), Vice-President of Tribunals (2018), Senior President of Tribunals (2020), and a member of the panel of judges sitting in the Privy Council (2021).

During his tenure in the High Court and Court of Appeal, he gave many leading judgments on cases relating to planning, major infrastructure projects and compulsory purchase.
