Professor Maria Lee has been elected to the British Academy’s Fellowship, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the humanities and social sciences. Maria joined UCL as a Professor of Law in 2007 and was director or co-director of the UCL Centre for Law and the Environment for over a decade. She has been a member of the editorial committees of a number of journals, including currently the Journal of Environmental Law, and is co-editor of Current Legal Problems. Maria is a Senior Fellow of the HEA. She has been a member of chambers’ Academic Panel since 2005.
Professor Eloise Ellis is the Associate Pro Vice Chancellor, Education and Curriculum and Professor of Public Law at UEA. She was previously the Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching Quality for the Social Sciences Faculty and the Law School’s Director of Learning and Teaching. Eloise joined UEA in 2011, having previously lectured in Public Law at King’s College London and Queen Mary, University of London. She has been a member of chambers’ Academic Panel since 2020.
Chambers’ Academic Panel was established to foster closer links with the academic world, and to exchange ideas on developments of interest in our particular spheres of expertise. Members of the panel provide an added dimension to the services we are able to offer clients and contribute to our seminar programme.
