Michael Fry and Esther Drabkin-Reiter Appointed to the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s Panel of Counsel

Chambers is pleased to announce that following a highly competitive application process two members of Chambers have been appointed to the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s panel of counsel. Michael Fry has been appointed to the B Panel and Esther Drabkin-Reiter has been appointed to the C Panel.

The appointments run for a period of four years.

Esther’s practice covers human rights and equality law issues arising in planning, immigration and wider public law cases, particularly those involving Article 8 ECHR and the public sector equality duty.

Similarly Michael has a broad public law practice with a focus on land and development. He has particular expertise in injunction and committal work where Articles 10 and 11 ECHR are engaged.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission is an independent statutory body with the responsibility to encourage equality and diversity, eliminate unlawful discrimination, and protect and promote the human rights of everyone in Britain. Members of the panel are the Commission’s preferred providers of external legal services, including advice and representation in domestic and European courts.
