Merrow specialises in environmental, planning and public law, with particular experience acting in climate change litigation where she has acted in a number of high-profile cases. She acts on behalf of local authorities, private developers and non-governmental organisations and welcomes instructions to act individually or as part of a team.
Merrow is consistently ranked by Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners as a leading junior in planning law and was nominated as Planning and Land Use Junior of the Year by the Legal 500 Bar Awards in both 2024 and 2023.
She was also elected (just last week!) as a new trustee of UKELA and she continues to serve on the editorial board of FTB’s Environmental Law Blog.
It is great to welcome her back to Chambers, where she is returning to full time practice.
‘Merrow is efficient and to the point. She advances her arguments clearly and confidently with an astute understanding of what the tribunal needs. Her advocacy is thorough, crisp and, consequently, very effective.’ - Legal 500
