Chambers is pleased to announce that Jeremy Phillips KC has been appointed to the Professional Conduct Panel of the Teaching Regulation Agency Panel.
Fitness and propriety has been a key element of Jeremy’s legal practice as a solicitor and, more recently, barrister over four decades and has formed a major element in many of his licensing cases. It was also central to his past role as a law firm senior partner and subsequent member of the Bar Council’s Ethics Committee and Law Commission Panel concerning taxi licence reform.
Jeremy also sits on the LTA’s Disciplinary Panel and is a trustee of the Licensed Trade Charity.
He appears before tribunals and courts at all levels. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Paterson’s Licensing Acts, the definitive legal licensing text, and an advisor to the Department of Culture Media and Sport in that capacity.
The appointment is effective from 31 January 2020.
