Chambers is pleased to announce that Jeremy Phillips KC has been appointed to the Safeguarding Case Management Programme (SCMP) Legal Advice Service.
The newly formed SCMP Legal Advice Service (LAS) will provide national sports governing bodies (NGBs) participating in the SCMP with expert legal assistance in preparing for and/or attendance at safeguarding disciplinary hearings administered by Sport Resolutions.
Richard Harry, Chief Executive of Sport Resolutions said: “We were delighted to receive such a high level of interest from leading law firms and barristers’ chambers to join the SCMP Legal Advice Service. The establishment of this service provides NGBs with access to expert legal advice and the support needed to navigate the final stages of a safeguarding process.
At Sport Resolutions we are proud to play an increasingly key role in ensuring that sport is safe and accessible to all – and fair and independent processes are fundamental in that aim.
My thanks go to all members of the LAS in recognition of their support of the sport sector in providing their expertise and services at a significantly reduced cost”.
