The proceedings concern the ongoing protest action by the group calling itself Insulate Britain. Insulate Britain has been invading the M25 motorway with the aim of disrupting traffic. On Wednesday 21 September, Michael Fry and Jonathan Welch were instructed to seek an urgent interim injunction without notice to prevent further trespass, nuisance and harm to users of the M25. Following a late night out of hours hearing a few hours later, Mr Justice Lavender granted a wide ranging injunction prohibiting unnamed individuals from continuing the disruption to the M25.
