In a decision letter dated 19 March 2026 the Inspector found that the less than substantial harm that would be caused to the significance of the nearby historic farmstead comprising the Grade II* listed Lanyon Farmhouse and Grade II listed barns and cart shed would be outweighed by the “very considerable and weighty” public and planning benefits associated with the scheme.
