Having launched a summary review of the premises licence West Midlands Police invited the Council to revoke the licence permanently, citing drugs misuse as well as security concerns and submitted that the continued operation of the premises posed a grave risk to the licensing objectives, in particular the prevention of crime and disorder and public safety. At the conclusion of the hearing, the licensing sub-committee of Birmingham City Council revoked the venue’s premises licence and continued the interim suspension of the licence pending any appeal.
