Conflict with Core Strategy Settlement Policy

Notwithstanding the recent date of the first LDF Core Strategy in the country to be adopted, planning permission has been granted on appeal from the refusal of South Cambridgeshire District Council to permit twice the maximum number of dwellings allowed within the relevant sustainable settlement category in the Council's Core Strategy in the village of Over.

The provision of a playing field for the local primary school as part of the development was found to outweigh the conflict with the Core Strategy settlement policy.

Andrew Kelly QC appeared on behalf of the Appellant Camstead Homes, instructed by Don Proctor of RPS.
