The Secretary of State for Transport has published the decision on the Transport and Works Act Inquiry and has made the TWA Order and granted deemed planning permission for the Luton - Dunstable Guided Busway. This inquiry sat for 9 weeks between February 2005 and August 2005. Read more
The House of Lords has declared the Environmental Assessment Regulations to be unlawful because they do not permit EIA at the reserved matters stage. Read more
Mr Justice Collins has quashed a permission for a mixed use development including flats close to Oxford Street. Westminster City Council failed adequately to address the impact of external noise on the amenity of the new flats by reference to the relevant UDP noise standards. Read more
South Cambridgeshire District Council has become the first council in England to receive an Inspector's report finding its Core Strategy Development Plan Document to be sound. Read more
