High Density Residential Development Granted on Appeal

British Land and Countryside Properties have been granted planning permission by the Secretary of State, in accordance with her Inspector's recommendations following a public local inquiry, on appeal from the refusal by West Berkshire District Council for a high density residential development of 350 dwellings at a density of 90 dph on the edge of Theale Village. Beckton Desalination Plant

The Secretaries of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and for Communities and Local Government have granted planning permission to Thames Water to develop the UK's first major desalination plant on part of the site of the existing Beckton Sewage Treatment Works in East London.
