Charles Mynors Wins Listed Building Case in Court of Appeal
Charles Mynors appeared in 2010 for Ashford Borough Council, in the Canterbury County Court (sitting at Chatham), which was seeking to resist an application by the owners of an 18th century cottage that had been listed by the Secretary of State in 1979 as a building of special architectural or historic interest. Supreme Court Makes New Law in Relation to Disturbance of European Protected Species
In Morge (FC) v Hampshire County Council [2011] UKSC 2, the Supreme Court (Lord Kerr dissenting) dismissed Mrs Morge's appeal, with the result that works on Phase 1A of the South East Hampshire Rapid Transit Scheme can be completed. Read more

Buckinghamshire County Council has recently rejected an application to register as a town/village green a series of fields owned by Pinewood Studios and upon which the Studios wish to extend for its activities. Read more

Supreme Court to Hear Appeal in R (Lewis) V. Redcar & Cleveland BC
The Supreme Court has granted permission to Mr Lewis to appeal against the Court of Appeal's controversial decision on prescriptive acquisition of rights, in the context of the Commons Act 2006. The hearing will take place in the week beginning 18th January 2010. Read more
